Just to say a huge thank you for all your support during this worldwide, difficult time. Mrs Fitch and I are sending lots of love and well wishes to all of our lovely children and families.
Firstly, it is important to say; home learning is not the most biggest thing at this time. The health and happiness or yourself and your family is the priority and whatever you are doing with your wonderful children is enough. Your best is always enough.
Things you can work on at home include the phonics and number work I sent home before we finished, two super resources to help you in these areas is Phonics Play https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/ and https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/shows/numberblocks. I also have sent each family their own PurpleMash login where you will find the MiniMash section which includes loads of brilliant activities and resources.
More importantly, now is the time to learn through play! Young children get sooooo much more from playing and exploring, learning new skills and thinking critically. Build dens, hunt for bugs, watch for birds, play with playdough, learn to dress and undress independently, tie shoelaces, play boardgames, taking turns, talk about your emotions, learn new words, take part in new experiences, read! These will equip your children for life and cannot be underestimated.
We are constantly finding new and useful resources which we are sharing on our school facebook page, along with our most up to date information around COVID-19. Please follow our page: https://www.facebook.com/Banks-St-Stephens-C-of-E-Primary-School-914899545247354/
Finally, I am always reachable on our school email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and also via our facebook page so please don't hesitate to send me a message if there is anything at all I can help you with. I would love to hear from you so feel free to send me pictures and things you have been up to!
Stay safe and well and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Lots and lots of love,
